SOUTH PARIS — Elizabeth H. Everett, 95, of Norway died on Thursday, Nov. 26, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Frye on Feb. 2, 1920, the daughter of Benjamin F. and Elizabeth A. Harding Philbrick. She attended school in Welchville and had been employed as a Mother’s Helper, at Poland Spring Job Corp., at the shoe shops in Auburn and at General Electric in Auburn.
She married Clarence (Bill) W. Everett on July 2, 1971, he passed away on June 2, 2000. Elizabeth enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also played golf. For a few years during the summer, she and Clarence lived on Frye Island in Sebago taking care of the golf course and playing golf. In retirement, she and her husband would travel to Florida in the winter months.
She is survived by a stepson, Ralph Everett and his wife, Jacqueline, of Norway; her sister, Edna J. Twitchell and her husband, Thomas, of Oxford; 11 step-grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a stepson, Clarence Everett Jr.; a stepdaughter, Ellen Shepherd; brothers, Arthur Philbrick, Joseph Philbrick, Nathaniel Philbrick and Allen Philbrick; and sisters, Marion Baker, Florence Flagg, Lillian Brown, Hazel Billings and an infant sister.
