NORWAY — Janice E. Holmes, 82, of Norway died peacefully Monday, Nov. 23, at Stephens Memorial Hospital, after a long battle with heart disease and diabetes.

She was born in Norway on Nov. 30, 1932, the daughter of Albert and Clara Young Payne. She attended Norway High School and had been a homemaker all of her life.

She married Roger W. Holmes on Dec. 9, 1950, he passed away on Sept. 22, 1987. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Jean Holmes of Olympia, Wash., Dawn and Jerry Feutz of North Muskegan, Mich., Wendy Holmes of Norway and Patricia and Mark Thomas of Oxford; grandchildren, Laura Colburn, Brian Ware, Cami and Ken Salaz, Melissa and Michael Haskell; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Colburn, Madison Ware, McKenna Ware, Shyloe Morgan, Trenton Haskell and Emerson Salaz; a brother, Albert Payne Jr.; and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews.
