1952 – 2015

LEWISTON — Lucie Ann Richard, 63, of Turner, died on Thursday evening, Nov. 26, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Farmington on Feb. 14, 1952, she was the daughter of Emile and Margaret Cormier Richard. Lucie graduated from Jay High School, Class of ’70, and later from the nursing school of CMVTI. Lucie was a dedicated worker at International Paper Company and Verso Paper before retiring in 2014. She loved camping, bike riding and kayaking. Lucie was a kind person with a friendly, generous and considerate nature who loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Richard of Auburn; her sisters, Gail Corbin of Hartford and Rose Lagasse of Auburn; her brothers, James Richard of Jay, Paul Richard of Augusta and Edward Richard of Lakeland, Fla., and Claude Richard of Augusta; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and her dear and longtime friends, Judy Lovejoy and Debi Brown.

She was predeceased by her father, Emile Richard.
