Oxford County Democrats to meet

BETHEL — The Oxford County Democrats will meet at noon on Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Crescent Park School.

The meeting will include general business with reports on recent activities, candidate recruitment and planning for the presidential caucuses on March 6, 2016.

A caucus convenor training also will be included as part of the meeting. A potluck lunch will precede the meeting, and those attending are encouraged to bring something to share.

The meeting is open to registered Democrats as well as those interested in working to elect Democrats.

Fair to benefit Bradbury

CANTON — A craft fair to support Bradbury Memorial Chapel will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, in the Canton Town Office.

Socrates Cafe to meet

WATERFORD — The Socrates Cafe will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at the Waterford Library.

The topic will be “The American Health System: Is It Working?” Therese Johnson will moderate.

Jay to remember Pearl Harbor

JAY — Veterans, community members and students will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at the Jay POW/MIA Bridge.

Coffee, donuts and Muffins will be offered at VFW Post 3335 for all who want to help never forget the “date which will live in infamy.”
