1924 – 2015

AUBURN — Connie passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 30.

She was born Aug. 17, 1924, the oldest child of Sam and Elenora (Small) Tarr and spent her early years in Litchfield and Winthrop. She married Donald I. Norcross in 1940 and they moved to Auburn where they raised their children. She devoted her life to her family and always put others’ needs before her own.

Connie worked as a spinner at Cowan Mill in Lewiston and Farnsworth Mill in Lisbon for 20 years. She also worked 20 years running the office at Berry Paper Company (Loring, Short & Harmon) in Lewiston.

She is survived by her twin sisters, Margaret Yeaton of Hallowell and Clara (Callie) Lachapelle Fournier of Farmingdale; three children, Barbara (Edwin) Mushlit of Monmouth, Richard (Mary Ann) Norcross of Auburn and Robert (Cheryl) Norcross of Minot; seven grandchildren, Steve (Donna) Norcross of Auburn, Kevin (Nancy) Norcross of Oxford, Betsy (Rene) Norcross-Plourde of Auburn, Craig (Kristi) Norcross of Auburn, Wendy (Daniel) Brown of Auburn, Erik Mushlit of Auburn and Elisabeth (Michael) Holland of Mansfield, Mass; 13 great-grandchildren, Joshua Holland, Jonathan and Nathan Mushlit, Kory, Makayla and Piper Norcross, Jarod Norcross-Plourde, Bo and Kailey Norcross, Dawson Norcross, and Ethan, Austin and Oliver Brown.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a brother, William E. Tarr; and grandson, David S. Norcross.

Connie’s family wishes to thank her earth angel (Marie Ouellette) and Home Hospice (Deanna and Tammy) for all helping her to stay at home.
