1924 – 2015

AUBURN — Ruth E. Murphy, 90, of Clover Manor in Auburn, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, at Clover Manor.

She was born in Scarborough, Dec. 21, 1924, the daughter of Edward and Esther Bowley Murphy. She attended local schools.

Ruth lived on Cottage Street in Portland for many years and was a nurse’s aide.

She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of East Poland and she liked to collect dolls.

She is survived by a nephew, Edward Murphy; a niece, Brenda Couture; and special friends, the Rev. Donald Witham and his wife, Lora.
