1934 – 2015

Brimfield, Mass. — Chester A. Comee Jr., 81, died Sunday, Nov. 29, in Florida, surrounded by the love of family.

He was born in Palmer, Mass., on Sept. 24, 1934, to the late Chester A. Comee Sr. and Frances E. (Beaulieu) Comee. Chet attended Monson Elementary Schools and then graduated from Lisbon High School in Lisbon Falls.

Chet worked in concrete construction and was the retired former president of Chet Comee & Sons, Inc. He also owned Maple Lake Arms in Brimfield.

He was a member of the Springfield Lodge of Elks No. 61 for more than 30 years, a member of Quaboag Country Club in Monson and a former corporator of Monson Savings Bank.

Chet leaves his children, Chester A. Comee III and Linda of Feeding Hills, Mass., James J. Comee Sr. and Nancy of Southwick, Mass., Susan D. Comee of Agawam, Mass., Kelly J. Comee and Glen of West Springfield, Mass., Kathleen A. Wyckoff and Christopher of Agawam, Mass.; loving companion, Terry Prosperi of Brimfield, Mass.; former wife, Irene Comee Pigeon of Agawam, Mass. and M. Joan Comee of Maine; grandchildren, Jeffery M. Comee and Heather, Aimee L. Lanier and Jason, Chester A. Comee IV and Krista, Karen L. Dimauro and Sam, James J. Comee Jr. and Brenna, Rachael M. Grannells and James, David F. Comee, Emily L. Comee, Laura I. Wyckoff, Stephen R. Comee and Christopher R. Wyckoff; great-grandchildren, Avery, Kalli, Brooke, Merryn, Emma and James; a brother, Kenneth Comee of California; and a sister, Patricia Hammond and Clarence of Maine.

Chet was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Comee; and a sister, Charlotte Vennert.
