LEWISTON — College for ME-Androscoggin has received a $45,000 grant from the John T. Gorman Foundation.

Based in Portland, the foundation advances ideas and opportunities that can improve the lives of disadvantaged people in Maine. The foundation made this investment in support of the long-term sustainability of College for ME-Androscoggin as the organization navigates a critical staffing transition.

Two key employees of College for ME-Androscoggin, Executive Director Jan Phillips and Associate Executive Director Joan Macri, have retired, and the organization recently hired Maggie Davis as director.

The grant will go toward College for ME-Androscoggin’s strategic plan, program enhancements and professional development for staff.
