Class to make healthy desert

LEWISTON — The ARK Crew will present the “Extra” Healthy Desserts Cooking Class at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St.

The class is free to attend. Registration is required.

Responsible Pet Care open house

PARIS — The annual Christmas open house at the Responsible Pet Care Shelter and Adoption Center will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13, at 9 Swallow Road.

Visitors can meet the cats and dogs and see recent renovations. There will be raffles, door prizes and refreshments. 

The shelter will be accepting donations, which it depends on to assist in the care of the animals.

Breakfast with Santa Claus

PARIS — Breakfast with Santa will take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at VFW Post 9787, 58 Main St.

Cost is $8 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Pictures with Santa will be free.

Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, coffee cake, coffee, juices and milk.

The event is hosted by Amvets Post 777.
