FRYEBURG — The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center’s Bradley Backstage Concert Series presents The Jed Wilson Trio at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11. Pianist Wilson will be accompanied by drummer Jacob Forbes and bassist Kinnon Church.
Wilson has been an active performer since his teenage years in Portland, Ore. He received a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from the New England Conservatory, where he formed a long-standing musical partnership with jazz vocalist Dominique Eade. The two have toured widely and in 2006 released a critically acclaimed CD that appeared on many of the year’s top-10 album lists. More recently, he has performed extensively with singer/songwriter Heather Masse. The association with Masse has resulted in two albums and a host of appearances across North America, including multiple appearances on NPR’s “A Prairie Home Companion.”
Bradley Backstage seats the audience on stage with the performers, creating a more intimate experience. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Pre-order tickets online at www.fryeburgacademy.org/pac or by calling the box office at 207-935-9232.
