LPL to gift-wrap tablets, e-readers

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library will offer free gift-wrapping services for patrons gifting tablets and e-readers this holiday season between Monday, Dec. 14, and Thursday, Dec. 31.

Each gift-wrapped tablet or e-reader will come with a coupon for a complimentary one-hour tutorial with a knowledgeable librarian. Patrons wishing to wrap their own gifts are welcome to come by the library for copies of the coupon.

The Lewiston Public Library offers year-round one-on-one appointments for patrons wanting to learn how to check out items from the library’s large collection of digital audiobooks and ebooks. Appointments are free to the public, but must be booked in advance.

Federal employees to meet

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Chapter 1804 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the Ramada Inn.

A social time will be followed by lunch at noon and the business meeting.
