HARWICH, Mass. — Roger F. Verville, 92, of Harwich, Mass., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 16, 1923, the youngest of 16 children of Eugene and Claudia (Poisson) Verville. He served in the Marines in the Pacific during World War II. After the war, he graduated from Boston University.
He worked in Boston, Mass., as a CPA with the government accounting office. He married Helen Quinn on Dec. 10, 1954, and they lived in Westwood, Mass. After his retirement, they moved to Harwich, Mass.
He was a devoted parishioner and daily communicant at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in West Harwich, Mass. Roger had wonderful caregivers, Joan, Nancy, Edie and Diane, who looked after him during his later years.
His nearest surviving relative is a nephew, Paul C. Fournier of Lewiston. He was also survived by several of his wife’s nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, parents, brothers and sisters.
