Stephens High ’58 luncheon

MEXICO — Stephens High School Class of 1958 will hold its monthly luncheon at the Far East restaurant at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

All classmates and their significant others are welcome to attend.

Grange to host Chowder Fest

WILTON — The Wilson Grange teamed up an open mic night with homemade chowders, breads and desserts for a fun weeknight out Wednesday, Dec. 16.

The meal will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. Open mic will run from 6 to 9 p.m.

The cost is $10 per person. Reservations are not needed.

Stephens High ’49 to meet

RUMFORD — Members and significant others of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for their regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Sam’s in the Virginia section of Rumford.

Money may be donated for the Peru food pantry.

Stephens High ’54 to meet

ANDOVER — The Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet for its luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at the Little Red Hen at 28 Main St.

All class members, spouses and guests are welcome.

SeniorsPlus Long Distance Learning class

WEST PARIS — SeniorsPlus has announced the December offering of its Long Distance Learning program, connecting community members in the West Paris area with live educational seminars being held at the Lewiston Education Center of SeniorsPlus.

The class, From Summit to Sea Level: Weather Forecasting, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the West Paris Library.

Instructor Sarah L. Long will tell her tales about “weathering” Mt. Washington and forecasting at WMTW Channel 8. Long will also share how to be a “weather spotter” and how to join the weather spotter community in Maine.

Community members who wish to join the classroom at the West Paris Library need to register with SeniorsPlus. The class is free, and all are welcome.
