Hope House toy distribution Saturday
LEWISTON — The Hope House will host its annual Hope for the Holidays toy distribution from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at 91 College St.
Toys will be sorted and displayed for the Free Toy Shop open to parents on a first-come, first-serve basis. The center’s volunteers are mostly neighborhood parents themselves and reflect the growing diversity of the area.
LHS Cheer bottle drive
LEWISTON — The Lewiston High School Cheer Boosters will hold a bottle drive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 12.
Cheerleaders will travel door-to-door in the community. Donations will also be accepted at Roopers Redemption on Lisbon Street.
Money raised will benefit the Lewiston High School Cheer programs and replace equipment.
Androscoggin Republicans to meet
POLAND — The Androscoggin County Republican Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Ricker Memorial Library, 1211 Maine St.
The meeting is open to all committee members and interested registered Republicans.
Tommy’s Feral Felines fundraising
LEWISTON — Tommy’s Feral Felines will hold its annual bake sale and a bottle drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 19 and 20, at Chapter 11 on Main Street. The location is the same, though the business has changed.
In addition to offering a variety of delicious baked goods, Tommy’s will also be collecting bottles and cans.
