OXFORD — Cat owners will soon have a new way to access spay/neuter veterinary care.
The Cat Cab will transport cats from Oxford to Rozzie May Animal Alliance’s spay/neuter clinic in Conway, N.H., and back again on Thursday, Dec. 31.
RMAA’s veterinary shuttle, driven by clinic staff, will pick up cats at 8:15 a.m. at the Oxford Tractor Supply Co. store at 1272 Main St. After surgery, the Cat Cab will return cats to the store for pick up that afternoon.
The cost is $65 for males and $80 for females, and includes surgery, medications, ear cleaning, nail trimming, a flea pill, a rabies vaccine for cats older than 3 months, and transportation. Other services, such as distemper vaccines, de-worming and microchips, are available for cats receiving spay/neuter services.
Appointments are required and cats must be brought to the shuttle in a carrier. Space is limited. Financial support for qualified Oxford Country residents is available through a grant from the Cleo Fund.
