LEWISTON — The public is invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve and ring in 2016 at the Franco Center, 46 Cedar St. The doors and bar open at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31.
A buffet dinner, prepared and served by the Franco Center staff, will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Menu offerings include French onion soup or house salad; slow-roasted prime rib au jus or baked, stuffed haddock au gratin; baked potato or rice pilaf; and a seasonal vegetable medley. Dessert choices are French apple tart with caramel sauce or peppermint stack cake.
Guests will dance from 8:30-11:30 p.m. to the music of “Every Other Sunday,” playing songs from across the decades.
Just before midnight, all guests will go to the performance hall for the Times Square countdown to 2016, shown on the big screen. The stroke of midnight will bring a balloon drop, champagne toast and the drawing of the New Year’s L-A grand prize worth more than $1,000.
Tickets are $40 per guest for everything — $75 for two — including entry into the grand prize drawing.
Seating for New Year’s L/A is limited. For tickets, drop by the box office at 46 Cedar St., call 689-2000, or purchase them online at FrancoCenter.org.
