AUGUSTA — Senior guard Kristina Blais scored a game-high 18 points to lead Lewiston to a 61-49 girls’ basketball victory over Cony on Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (2-2) started slowly but picked up the tempo in the second quarter, outscoring Cony 20-5.

Victoria Harris contributed a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Morgan Eliasen added another 12 points for Lewiston. Kate Silva scored a team-leading 16 points for the Rams (0-4).

Edward Little 47, Brunswick 42

BRUNSWICK — Senior guard Emily Jacques tossed a game-high 16 points to lead Edward Little to a 47-42 triumph over Brunswick in girls’ basketball on Tuesday.

The Red Eddies (3-1) trailed 20-15 at the half. Edward Little made 11-of-14 from the free throw line in the second half to execute the come-from-behind win.

Jordyn Reynolds contributed 13 points for the Red Eddies. Junior guard Madeline Suhr paced the Dragons (0-4) with 15 points.

Lisbon 46, Winthrop 23

WINTHROP — After building a 19-point advantage in the first half, Lisbon cruised to a 46-23 victory over Winthrop in MVC girls’ basketball on Tuesday.

Jasmin Le led the Greyhounds (2-3) with a game-high 21 points. Bree Sautter chipped in eight. Shie Smith led the Ramblers (0-5) with nine.

Lawrence 55, Mt. Blue 40

FAIRFIELD — Dominique Lewis garnered a game-high 20 points to lead Lawrence to a comfortable 55-40 girls’ basketball victory over Mt. Blue on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (4-0) jumped out to an 18-7 first quarter lead and led 24-21 at the half. Nia Irving pitched in 15 points for Lawrence.

Caitlin Kane recorded a team-leading 16 points for the Cougars (1-3). Eryn Doiron contributed 11.

Rangeley 62, Greater Portland Christian 22

SACO — Rangeley jumped out to a 14-point lead in the first frame and sped away with a 62-22 victory over Greater Portland Christian in a Class D South girls’ basketball tilt on Tuesday. 

Blayke Morin led the Lakers (4-1) with a game-high 20 points. Sydney Royce registered 12. Clarissa Jones paced GPC (2-2) with 10.

Dirigo 37, Mt. Abram 33

SALEM — Emma Lueders sparked a 12-7 fourth-quarter run that allowed Dirigo to pull out a 37-33 win over Mt. Abram in an MVC girls’ basketball clash on Tuesday. 

Lueders finished with 10 points for the Cougars (3-2), including six in the final frame. Sabrina Daoud led Dirigo with 15 points. 

Freshman Summer Ross led the Roadrunners (1-4) with 17 points. 

Madison 39, Monmouth 38

MONMOUTH — Kayla Bess nailed a foul shot with nine seconds left in the contest and Madison edged Monmouth, 39-38, in an MVC girls’ basketball showdown on Tuesday.

Bess led the Bulldogs (4-1) with 12 points. Madeline Wood chipped in nine. Madison battled back from a three-point deficit to tie the game with 30 seconds left in regulation.

Haley West topped the Mustangs (3-1) with nine points. Tia Day and Maddie Amero each added six. 

Mountain Valley 49, Oak Hill 33

RUMFORD — After sprinting out to a 17-point advantage in the first frame, Mountain Valley coasted to a 49-33 rout over Oak Hill in MVC girls’ basketball on Tuesday. 

Ashley Russell led the unbeaten Falcons (4-0) with 19 points, six steals and four assists. Sydney Petrie chipped in 14 points, while Emily Laubauskas added six points and had five steals. 

Grace Sabine showed the way for the Raiders (3-2) with 10 points. Bri Mulherin chipped in nine.

Greater Portland Christian 50, Rangeley 47

PORTLAND — Greater Portland Christian used a 14-8 run in the fourth quarter to squeak by Rangeley, 50-47, in Class D South boys’ basketball on Tuesday.

Jason Mason propelled the Lions (1-4) with 17 points, while Owen Eddie tallied 13 and Jeremiah Hammond added 12.

Ricky Thompson led the Lakers (2-3) with 15 points, while Kyle Larochelle notched 14.
