WOODSTOCK — The Board of Selectmen unanimously voted Tuesday evening to accept a $38,000 bid for a 50-acre woodlot on Billings Road.
Town Manager Vern Maxfield said the lot was acquired for back taxes in 1999.
Board of Selectmen Chairman Ron Deegan said Concord River Holdings LLC, an out-of-state company run by Cristian Mata, offered $38,000 to purchase the lot and offered a check for 10 percent upfront with the bid.
“This is a really good bid for us,” Deegan said. “I see no reason why we shouldn’t accept it.”
The board voted 3-0 to accept the bid.
