BRUNSWICK — Past recipients of the prestigious Joshua L. Chamberlain Award are invited to meet to review nominations for the 2016 award. The award committee will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the Mid-Coast Veterans Resource Center, 67 Pegasus St.

The Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber and the Navy Retired Activities Office are reaching out to find as many of these past award recipients as possible. In addition to reviewing nominations, the committee will select the next award recipient. The recipient will be honored at the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber’s annual meeting, Friday, Jan. 15.

In addition to this meeting, past recipients are encouraged to submit nominations. The individual nominated should be one whose activities have served to build upon the close relationship and understanding existing between the military and civilian components of the greater Brunswick-Topsham-Bath community.

Any individual who lives or works in the Chamber’s 16 communities is eligible for nomination. Nominations will be accepted through Tuesday, Dec. 29, and can be submitted to: [email protected].
