WILTON — Back in 1990, Michael Cooper created his first Christmas Eve Chancel Drama at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Wilton. That first tale, the real life enactment of the birth of a Christmas calf, tended in a humble stable by his veterinarian father, Doc Cooper, and witnessed by a young, wide-eyed Michael, was received so well that he was asked to come up with a another adventure the next year.

A tradition was born.

This year’s story is called “The Toyota and The Tow Truck.”

St Luke’s is located at 59 High St. The Christmas Eve Service will be a full worship service, complete with traditional prayers and carols, communion and Cooper’s latest Chancel Drama. It will begin at 5:30 p.m.
