LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host the next LA Law Legal Advisory Workshop from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 415 Lisbon St.

The topic, “Legacy Planning for the Sandwich Generation: How to Help Your Parents and Adult Children with Their Estate Plans, After You Take Care of Your Own,” is designed for individuals nearing retirement who are caring for aging parents and mentoring young adult children. The workshop will be led by attorneys Martha “Meg” Greene and Kenleigh Nicoletta of Brann & Isaacson.

The goal is to provide a checklist of items which should be considered by maturing families when planning the transfer of assets from one generation to the next. The checklist addresses: care in the event of incapacity; assets and liabilities (identification, protection and transfer); and documents governing the transfer of assets on death (wills and trusts, beneficiary designations and joint ownership).

Nicoletta focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. Greene practices sophisticated estate planning, charitable giving, estate and trust administration and litigation in these areas.

Cost is $25 for members, $50 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, call 783-2249 or go to: www.androscoggincounty.com and click on Chamber Events.
