1947 – 2015
SOUTH PARIS — Glenn W. Smith, 68, of South Paris, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston on March 28, 1947, the son of Eugene H. and Jean L. Smith. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1966, serving as class marshal and then served in the U. S. Air Force for three years.
He lived in Mechanic Falls and Welchville and had been employed as a carpenter. Glenn even worked as a ranch hand. He traveled across the country eight times; he especially enjoyed being in Washington state and Alaska. He spent the past 16 years living in South Paris, close to family and friends.
Glenn is survived by his mother of Welchville; three children, Tabitha Smith, Tanya Pennington and Jeremy Smith; three grandchildren, MacKenzie Turner, Hannah Turner and Dakota Santos; his siblings, Mike Smith, Brian Smith, Kerry Brine, Becky Smith, Lisa Smith and Toni Lowery.
He was predeceased by his father; his brother, Richard Bennett; and his sister, Diana Smith.
