SACO — Police have identified the victim of a Christmas morning mobile home fire as 76-year-old Larry Tenan, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland.

“Fire marshals are looking at smoking (as) the likely cause of the fire,” McCausland said in a press release. “Firefighters also had responded to the home in the recent past for a mattress fire started by smoking.”

The report of a fire came into police around 1:45 a.m. Friday. The mobile home was located on Fawn Drive inside the Blue Haven Mobile Home Park off Route 1.

Sgt. Joel Davis with the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office told CBS 13 that firefighters put out the fire quickly, went inside and found the elderly man’s body.
