1937 – 2015

SOUTH PARIS — Judy G. Moody, 78, of South Paris, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27, at her residence. She had lived in South Paris for the last two years, moving here from Lisbon Falls.

Judy was born in Skowhegan on Feb. 21, 1937. She attended schools in Rumford, Auburn and Lewiston and graduated from Paris High School.

In her earlier years, Judy had worked as a secretary at B.E. Cole in Norway, Marcal Paper and Pejepscot Paper. She had also worked at L.L. Bean and most recently, worked as a hostess at Captain Mike’s in Brunswick for 15 years.

Judy enjoyed gardening and loved animals. She especially loved her dog, Marni.

She loved traveling, especially to Disney World with her granddaughter, Liza. She was a fantastic mother and grandmother.

For several years, she and her husband, Chester Moody wintered in Lakeland, Fla. Chester passed away in November 2012.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Chase and her husband, Andrew, of Norway; her granddaughter, Liza Gonzaga and her husband, Omar, of Poland; two sisters, Arlene Blovin of Rumford and Irene Webster of Auburn; a brother, Gordon Mason of South Paris; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
