1978 – 2015

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. — Brian Millett was born April 5, 1978, originally from Oxford, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, in New York City, N.Y., after a long illness.

He attended Oxford Hills schools and graduated from Goodwill Hinckley in 1996. After graduation, he left for the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. He then joined the Ballet International in Indianapolis, Ind., and then moved on to the American Ballet Theater in New York City, N.Y. From there he performed all over the world.

After retiring from ballet, Brian became a talented hairstylist working in New York City, N.Y., with Louis Licari, Rita Hazan and Sally Hershberger. He assisted with photo shoots for Vogue, Vanity Fair and Glamour.

Brian is survived by his loving mother, Deb Millett of Oxford; grandparents, Harriett and Lawrence Estes of South Paris; aunts and uncles, Elaine Newell of Damariscotta, Carleton and Rita Estes of Casco, Karen and Jay Harper of South Portland, and Barbie and Steve Cox of Oxford. He will be missed by many cousins and friends.
