NEWRY — The Board of Selectmen will officially appoint Amy Bernard as town administrator at its meeting Tuesday.
Town Administrator Loretta Powers said Bernard will be appointed tax collector, treasurer, town clerk and registrar of voters at the meeting.
Bernard, who has served as town manager of Paris for the past three years, and served as the town manager of Wayne four years before that, will replace Powers, who is moving to Florida.
Bernard has a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history from the University of Maine at Farmington, and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Maine.
Other items on the agenda include:
* Discussion of town roads.
* Discussion of a new Veterans Memorial.
* Discussion of Tri-Town Transfer.
