1927 – 2016

LEWISTON — Muriel L. Grover, 88, of Sabattus Street, Lewiston, died Saturday, Jan. 2, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a brief illness.

She was born in Auburn on July 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Louis and Helena (Beauchesne) Paradis. She was educated in local schools. Muriel worked in many local shoe shops through the years.

Muriel enjoyed playing games on her computer, playing bingo, crocheting, sewing and most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Denis Grover and wife, Madelyn, of Poland, and Scott Grover of Lewiston; her daughter, Vickie Hale and husband, Robert, of Leeds; nine grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, David Grover; a granddaughter, Rebecca Grover; five sisters, Emeldia, Irene, Annette, Jane and Juliette; and two brothers, Ralph and Laureat.
