TOPSHAM — The Topsham Public Library, the Topsham Planning Department and the Topsham Economic and Community Development Department are presenting a series of public discussions centering on Topsham’s historic heritage and finding workable ideas that allow Topsham to build for the future.
The next presentation, “Topsham’s historic heritage: Can we build for the future without losing the past?” will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12.
Carol Eyerman, assistant planner for Topsham, will lead the discussion featuring speakers Jane Lafleur, executive director of Friends of Midcoast Maine; Lorain Francis, senior program director at Maine Development Foundation; Vanessa Farr, principal at Maine Design Workshop; Scott Hanson, architectural historian at Sutherland Conservation and Consulting; and Greg Paxton, executive director of Maine Preservation.

The programs are free and open to the public. The Topsham Public Library is located at 25 Foreside Road. All workshops are held in the Topsham Public Library’s Highlands Community Room.
