Baked bean supper today in Lewiston

LEWISTON — The Calvary United Methodist Church will hold a baked bean and casserole supper at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9.

Admission is $7.50 for adults and $3 for children. 

Public supper planned in Wilton

WILTON — There will be a public Masonic supper to benefit the building fund from 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road in East Wilton.

The menu will be chicken pie, cranberry sauce, vegetable, dinner rolls, brownies with ice cream and beverages.

$8 for adults and $5 for those under the age of 12.

Beat the winter blues brunch Jan. 16

FAYETTE — The community may come in from the cold to laugh, talk and eat brunch with friends and neighbors from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 16, at Starling Hall, 2769 Main St., Route 17.

This second annual Beat the Winter Blues Brunch will feature Baja egg casserole, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, hash browns and strawberry filled crepes.

Cost is $6 for an adult, $3 for a child, $20 for a family of six or more. Proceeds will benefit the Starling Hall renovation.

Palestine trip talk Jan. 16

BETHEL — A community supper and presentation by Jim Chandler on his trip to Palestine in 2015 will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at West Parish Congregational Church, UCC, Church Street.

Supper consists of baked beans and casseroles.

MECHANIC FALLS — The American Legion will host a baked bean and casserole supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at 41 Elm St.

Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12.

Woodstock PTA basket bingo

GREENWOOD — Woodstock Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Association will host Basket Bingo Sunday, Jan. 17at the Locke Mills Legion Hall, 595 Gore Road.  

Doors will open at 11 a.m., and the first game will be at 1 p.m. There will be door prizes, raffles and lunch options. 

Participants must be 16 or older to play. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the door for 16 games. Tickets can be purchased at Woodstock School.
