LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will offer a six-week session of Little Sparks Toddler Karate beginning Saturday, Jan. 16.

Little Sparks was created exclusively for children ages 2 to 4. This class helps to develop listening skills, teaches children how to follow directions and take turns. The students also work on balance, tumbling and basic Karate blocks, as well as stranger-danger self-defense.

Classes are held Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 9 a.m.

The cost of the six-week program is $50 for YWCA members, $60 for nonmembers, plus an additional uniform fee.
