A Limington woman was killed early Monday morning in Standish when the car she was driving left Route 25 and struck a utility pole, authorities said.
Susan Jensen, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a written release by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department.
Jensen was eastbound in a 2015 Subaru XVcross when her car went off the road near Hummingbird Lane in Standish at about 5:30 a.m.
There were no passengers in the car. No other vehicles were involved, authorities said.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
“It is believed that icy road conditions were a factor in the crash,” Capt. Donald Goulet wrote in a statement.
Members of Standish Fire Department and EMS also responded to the scene of the crash.
