BERLIN, N.H. — Dan Kennedy, professional pianist, will share his talents with the community at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts.

Kennedy has played 100 engagements in the past three years. In 2015, he was proudly elected to both Whisperings and to the Enlightened Piano Artist Network, putting him on an elite list of the top 300 contemporary solo pianists in the world.

Tickets for this event are $10 for adults and $5 for those younger than 18. They are available in advance at the arts center office or online. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the concert.

Kennedy’s commitment to contemporary instrumental music goes back to the 1980s. Conservatory trained, he got his start playing evenings of improvised piano music at Oberlin’s Cat-in-the-Cream Coffeehouse. Heard on more than 250 radio stations, as well as Pandora and Spotify, his music has been in rotation on Sirius XM since 2009. His debut EP, Lantern, was produced by Will Ackerman. His second release, Intuition (2012), went to No. 7 internationally and was produced by Grammy Award-winner Corin Nelsen.

His third album, Bloom Road, provides a coffeehouse-style set of contemporary instrumental music. It features guest artists Charles Neville on saxophone (The Neville Brothers, Ray Charles, B.B. King), David Rose (Painted Raven, Mars Lasar) on Native flute, and Greg Loughman (Patti Page, Philip Aaberg) on bass. His CDs are available at www.dankennedy.us and at online sales sites such as CDbaby, Amazon.com, and Apple Music.

Kennedy lives in an 1860 farmhouse in western Massachusetts.
