FARMINGTON — Money raised during the holiday season from Franklin Memorial Hospital cafeteria donations was donated to the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce’s Gerry Wiles Holiday Food Basket Program.

Each year, the program distributes holiday food baskets to residents of Farmington, West Farmington, Farmington Falls, New Sharon, Chesterville, Temple, New Vineyard, New Portland and North New Portland who meet federal eligibility guidelines for food insecurity.

Total donations in exchange for a turkey dinner in the Franklin Memorial Hospital cafeteria totaled $1,000, providing food baskets to 40 families.
