RANGELEY — A Dead River Co. truck loaded with oil slid off Loon Lake Road on Wednesday into a ditch and rolled onto its side, Sgt. Jared Austin said.
Driver Joshua Adams of Rangeley got too close to the shoulder of the road and the truck got pulled into the ditch, he said.
Adams was not injured, and no oil leaked.
The company sent a couple of oil trucks and offloaded what fuel they could, he said. A wrecker put the truck back on its wheels. There was cosmetic damage estimated between $3,000 and $4,000, he said.
The road was closed for about 30 minutes.
Rangeley Fire Rescue Department assisted at the scene.
