1930 – 2016
BRUNSWICK — Richard C. Grimmel, 85, of Lisbon, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 3.
He was born in Lewiston on May 14, 1930, to parents Joseph and Mary Grimmel.
Richard owned Grimmel’s Service Station for 25 years and sold it in 1968 to his nephew, Jim Grimmel. He also built and owned Grimmel’s Mobile Home Park for 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Richard is survived by two sons, Stanley Grimmel of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Larry and wife, Laurie Grimmel, of Plant City, Fla.; fiancée, Lucienne Wright of Lisbon; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Alma Grimmel; and five brothers, Walter, John, Frank, Joseph and Paul Grimmel.
