Sunday sermon on ‘Words with Friends’
PARIS — “Words with Friends” is the title of the 10 a.m. sermon with Silver Moore-Leamon on Sunday, Jan. 24, at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street.
Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service and everyone is welcome. Childcare is available and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible. The First Universalist Church welcomes and celebrate all beliefs.
Churches plan Lenten services
RUMFORD — Plans are being announced for Ecumenical Lenten Services in the River Valley.
An Ash Wednesday service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street. The message will be delivered by Father Tim Walmer of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
On March 24, Maundy Thursday will be observed at 7 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church at the traffic rotary, with Pastor Izzie Radford-Nash of the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC, delivering the message.
Pastor Carol Stevens of the Rumford United Methodist Church will deliver the message at a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC, 163 Main St.
Everyone is invited to attend the services.
