AUBURN — The Edward Little High School Drama Club will present “Don’t Bother to Wake Him, Hand Me the Shovel,” at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Auburn Middle School.

The play, written by Pat Cook, is being directed by Riley McCurdy, a senior at ELHS.

The cast of unusual characters includes Isabel Bassett, Autumn Chapman, Jeannie Doherty, Maxwell Draper, Olivia Dubois, Brenna Eastman, Abby Hart, Danica Hemond, Khadijiah Kagoni, Mason Lagasse, Eli Latham, Sophie Mailhot, Sophie Messina, Dylan Miller, Pam Monto, Sam Morrison, Erin Myers, Gabriel Sears, Carter Shaw, Kevin Staples and Sophie Wood.

The technical crew includes Zach Gagne and Maureen Brann, with Katherine Gilpatrick as stage manager.

The play is a farce about news reporters who go to an old mansion in order to report creepy experiences and appearances that have been rumored to happen inside. During the trip, they find crooks, paranormal investigators, cheerleaders and more, all gravitating toward the odd mansion.

Is the Billingsgate mansion really haunted? Or are there some darker dealings involved with all of the people?

The public is invited to come and find out. Admission at the door is $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.
