AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lena M. Martel was celebrated on Friday, Jan. 22, at St. Philip’s Church following prayers at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Lariviere celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

During the Mass, the first reading was read by her granddaughter, Jennifer Adams. The Offertory was brought to the altar by her great-grandchildren, Autumn Dozois-Martel, Dominique Michaud, Matthew and Zack Wallingford, Madison Martel, Eva Cote, Makenna Gagnon, Elizabeth and Nicholas Adams and Braedon Gagnon. Braedon Gagnon also acted as an altar server. Words of remembrance were expressed by her daughter-in-law, Danielle Martel and her granddaughter, Jennifer Adams.

The pallbearers were her son, Mike Martel; and her grandsons, Aaron, Bret and Jamie Martel, Eric Michaud and Ryan Hinkley.

A reception of fellowship was held at Marco’s Restaurant following the services at the cemetery. Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston.
