AUBURN — Ronaldo L. Cote, 90, a longtime resident of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 25, at the Hospice House in Auburn surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Auburn on Oct. 8, 1925, the son of Arsene and Clara (Lessard) Cote. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed in the shoe industry in Lewiston before working at Superior Concrete in Auburn, retiring in 1995. In Ron’s younger years, he loved to play golf.
Ronaldo is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Cote of Auburn; children, Carol Holmes of Auburn, Michael Cote and his wife, Becky, of California, Ronald Cote and his wife, Carol, of New Gloucester, Marie Cote and her companion, Mike Phillips, of Poland, Thomas Cote and his wife, Donna, of Mechanic Falls, Debra Cote of Auburn, Peggy Jordan and her husband, Mike, of Auburn, Julie Newton and her husband, Mike, of Auburn, Lorna Vautour and her husband, Kenneth, of Fairfield. Additionally, he is survived by 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother in-law, Walter Bubier and wife, Margie, of Sabattus; sister-in-law, Judy Bubier of Lewiston; and sister-in-law, Jean Cote of Auburn.
