BUCKFIELD — A 49-year-old Hebron man was taken to a Lewiston hospital Friday night after crashing his car into the woods on Roundabout Road.
Police said the driver failed to stop at the intersection of Roundabout and North Hill Road and drove into the woods at about 9 p.m.
Emergency crews had to cut the 49-year-old from the wreckage of his car, police said. He appeared to have suffered head and facial injuries, but an Oxford County Sheriff’s deputy said the man was alert and conscious when they reached the scene.
The driver was not identified because he was still being evaluated at the hospital. Police said he was alone in his car when he crashed.
