FARMINGTON — H. David Robbins, 77, died on Friday, Jan. 29, at the Sandy River Nursing Home in Farmington, with his wife, Joyce, and his niece, Judy, by his side. He was a resident of Robbins Avenue in Dixfield.
He was born in Rumford on July 14, 1938, a son of John and Evelyn (Daley) Robbins. He attended Dixfield schools. For several years, he worked for Maillet’s Construction and then for the state of Maine as a truck driver and then at G.H. Bass in Rumford. He was a member of the Dixfield Congregational Church.
H. David was married in Dixfield on May 12, 1962, to Joyce E. Briggs, who survives of Dixfield. Other survivors include two sisters, Muriel McAuley of Farmington and Barbara Buzzell of Dixfield; a brother, Walter Robbins and his wife, Haroldine, of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Theresa Robbins of Dixfield.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Vivian, Alston, Vernon, Sherwood, Oscar and Ernest.
