PARIS — No charges have been filed against the driver of a car involved in a fatal car crash Saturday afternoon on Paris Hill Road, acting Police Chief Jeffrey Lange said Monday.

Kevin Wassell, 41, of Buckfield died in the 3 p.m. crash, police said.

The driver, Asha Dourin, 32, of South Paris, was flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with injuries not considered life-threatening. She had been released as of Monday, a hospital spokesman said.

Passenger Chad Verrill, 30, also of South Paris, was transported to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway. He was released Monday, Lange said.

Dourin lost control of the car while negotiating a turn on Paris Hill Road, police said previously. All three were not wearing seat belts and were trapped in the overturned car.

The crash, which occurred across from 203 Paris Hill Road, is under investigation by Paris police and Maine State Police.
