St. Luke’s to hold pancake breakfast

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 59 High St., will host a free pancake supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9. Church volunteers will serve pancakes, breakfast meats, juice and coffee/tea.

Flyers will be delivered to those in the church neighborhood, but all from the community are welcome. Feb. 9 is Shrove Tuesday (also known as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras), the last day before Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent.

Enter through the kitchen doors around the back of the building.

Hammond to lead worship service

PARIS — The Sunday, Feb. 7, worship service at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street will be led by Marilyn Hammond. Music for the 10 a.m. service will be directed by Donna Hurd.

Coffee and fellowship, hot soup and bread will follow the worship service and all are welcome. Childcare is available and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible.

Church to hold Tuesday supper

FARMINGTON — A baked bean and casserole supper will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The prices are $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 12 to 17 and free for children younger than 12.

Church to host women’s breakfast

NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church will host a women’s breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. There will be food, fun and fellowship.

CUMC hosting bean, casserole supper

LEWISTON — The Calvary United Methodist Church will host its monthly baked bean and casserole supper Saturday, Feb. 13.

Serving time will be 4:45 p.m. at the Bartlett Street Garden entrance.

Cost of the meal is $7.50 for adults and $3 for children.

The menu will include assorted baked beans, hot dogs, biscuits, casseroles (including vegetarian), salads and homemade pies.

Combined Lenten schedule posted

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church and the Calvary United Methodist Church will again combine several services during Lent.

Calvary will offer a short service for those in the downtown area at 11 a.m. Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10. Auburn United Methodist will hold a 7 p.m. service.

The Maundy Thursday service will be held at the Auburn UMC, 439 Park Ave.

The Calvary UMC will host the Good Friday services in Lewiston.

Both are reconciling churches and services are open to all people.
