LEWISTON — The Meadowview Seniors Complex recently held installation of new officers for the year 2016.

The installing officer was tenant Arthur Raymond. The officers installed were Hope Hughes, president; Ray Ouellette, vice president; Peggy Rolling, treasurer; Betty Swanson, secretary; and Lorraine Sarazzin, Rose Robbins, Debbie Osborn, Rena Williams, Pauline Muldoon, Dot Robinson and D.J. Sargent, directors.

The evening included a lunch of pizzas, chips and beverages.

Some duties of the officers include beano every Thursday night, lunches once a month prior to beano, refreshments, decorations, meeting new tenants and passing out weekly flyers to all apartments, taking care of books and magazines, puzzles and sending cards to sick tenants.

A Pass the Buck game takes place once a month. SeniorsPlus offers lunches every Tuesday and Thursday, and Bates College students normally provide an ice cream social and brunch once a month.

Regular tenants meetings are on the second Monday of every month. Coffee and doughnuts are available.

Meadowview Seniors Complex, located at 23 Spofford St., has 152 apartments that are owned by Lewiston Housing Authority.
