AUBURN — Benjamin Smith has become a shareholder of the law firm Skelton Taintor & Abbott.
A skilled litigator, Smith also possesses extensive experience in public utility law. Prior to joining the firm, he was a staff attorney for the Maine Public Utilities Commission. He served as a hearing examiner in electric and other matters and also represented the commission before other agencies and in state and federal courts.
Smith’s areas of practice are energy and utility law, general litigation, municipal law and business associations.
A native of Maine and hailing from Aroostook County, Smith and his wife and daughter reside in Chelsea.
