UPDATE: Bates College receives $19 million gift, launches new digital major
LEWISTON — Bates College officials will announce receipt of the largest single gift in the college’s 161-year history at 1 p.m. Monday.
College President Clayton Spencer and other college leaders will also outline the largest expansion of the college’s curriculum and faculty in more than a decade, which will be funded in part by the record-setting gift.
