NORWAY — The First Universalist Church of Norway and the Maine Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will co-sponsor a free screening of the award winning film, “Living for 32,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the church, 479 Main St.
The doors will open at 6, and all are welcome. Free popcorn and beverages will be served.
Selected for screening at the Sundance Film Festival, “Living for 32” is the inspirational story of Colin Goddard, a survivor of the mass shooting on the Virginia Tech campus, April 16, 2007.
The combination of Goddard’s passion, charisma and optimism has commanded the attention of the American public and media since the devastating incident which left 32 dead and 17 injured.
In “Living for 32,” Goddard shares an intimate account of terror he and his classmates endured and the journey of renewal and hope he chose to pursue.
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a grass-roots movement of American mothers fighting for public safety measures that respect the Second Amendment and protect people from gun violence. Moms Demand Action campaigns for new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes that jeopardize the safety of children and families.
Since its inception after the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, Moms Demand Action has established a chapter in every state of the country and, along with Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Everytown Survivor Network, it is part of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than 3 million supporters.
