MEXICO — A Crock-Pot Cook-Off will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at Calvin Lyons Hall, behind the town hall.

Community tasters are invited to cast a vote for the winning dish or to make a big batch for sharing and enter the stew, soup, chowder or chili for a chance to win.

Those wishing may register at the Mexico Public Library by Friday, Feb. 12, to enter a dish. Entry fee is $5.

Cover charge to be a community taster is $2 in advance, $3 at the door, and free for children under 3.

First prize will be decided by a Judges’ Panel will be a 50/50, and first prize decided by a community tasters’ vote will be a gift set.
