LEWISTON — A special Valentine Farmers’ Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center, 208 Bates St.
This is Lewiston Farmers’ Market final market for the winter season until it opens for the summer on Sunday, May 29, Memorial Day Weekend.
Staff will offer a one-of-a-kind Couples Brunch at the Market Café, prepared by the Nutrition Center’s Youth Powered Cooking Crew. On the menu will be Beyond Decadent Banana Stuffed Crepes (with homemade dulce de leche and hazelnut chocolate sauce) and Potato Scallion and Cheddar Quiche.
The market will also raffle a basket of market goodies and sweet treats.
Lastly, to help spread the love a little further, the market SNAP incentive program will increase its match for the final market. That means for every $1 spent using SNAP/EBT, a person will receive $1 back up to $20 in market dollars to purchase more fresh fruits and vegetables.
