Riders Club hosting Party in the Park

FARMINGTON — The Riders Club at Titcomb Mountain will host a Party in the Park from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the local ski slope.

Highlighting boxes rails, jibs and jumps, the event will feature snowboarders and free skiers along with some jamming tunes, according to club organizers.

All ages are welcome, as are guys and gals. Rider and skier competition is based on age categories of 12 and younger, 13 to 17 and 18 and older.

Registration on the day of the event will start at 4:30 p.m. There is a $10 fee to enter.

Seniors to have Valentine luncheon

RUMFORD — The Rumford Senior Citizens will hold a Valentine luncheon on Monday, Feb. 15, at the old Peru school, Main Street. Menu will include chicken casserole, coleslaw, biscuit and ice cream sundae.

There will also be entertainment. Cost will be $6 for members, $7 for nonmembers.

RUMFORD — A Speaking Up for Us meeting will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave. Guest speaker will be Brad Kaherl of CMP, offering a workshop/presentation on safety.

SeniorsPlus to visit Norway, Fryeburg

NORWAY/FRYEBURG — Representatives from SeniorsPlus will visit Norway and Fryeburg to answer questions or address concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. 

Norway: 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Norway Town Office.

Fryeburg: 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the Fryeburg Public Library.
